A-MEDICO's Activation Program 1 hosted Training and Upskilling Forums with fantastic engagement from industry leaders, innovators, and trainees. This included 2 parts hosted in Edmonton & Calgary.
Industry Component - From Classroom to Workplace
This was an engaging morning session that addresses the skills gap in new hires within the medical device ecosystem. This forum provided a unique opportunity for industry employers and innovators to share their expectations of skills that recent graduates need to be successful in the Medical Device Ecosystem. The goal was to voice valuable insights to help bridge the gap between academic preparation and industry demands.
Students Invited - Connecting the Dots Training
This afternoon session was dedicated to exploring training pathways in the medical device sector. This forum focused on understanding the training options available, evaluating what works and what doesn't, and identifying pathways that enhance skills and career readiness. The goal was to have students participate in discussions that will help shape the future of training in this dynamic industry.
