In May, we hosted a dynamic and collaborative annual event designed to foster connections and spark innovation in Alberta’s medical device ecosystem.

The day began with an internal session, bringing together 15 trainees and 23 principal investigators for two focused workshops and PI retreat sessions to deepen engagement and mentorship.

The external event welcomed 93 attendees, featuring a keynote address by Buzz Kenney and an insightful panel discussion with leaders including Dr. Marcia Clarke (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada), Ursula Mann (Patient Voice Partners), and Reg Joseph (Health Cities).

With representation from all our partnering institutions, the event successfully strengthened our ecosystem, creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth in medical technology.
